We are planning on grabbing lunch together afterwards (location TBD) and would love for anyone who is available to join us.
Haboob Ultimate, now entering it's second year, is a women's ultimate frisbee team in the Phoenix metro area that is focused on building a community of competitive women matching players. In the past year, Haboob focused on development and fundamental skills. As we move forward this year, the team objective will shift towards building a more competitive team while still prioritizing a positive environment for athletic growth.
Season Information:
We are extremely grateful to Helen and Brodie for volunteering their time to coach us this season. We are planning on playing in 2-3 regular season tournaments (most likely 1 driving and 1 flying), sectionals, and regionals. We plan on practicing from 8-10 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays while continuing our optional Monday pod (subject to change). Official practices will begin the first week of May (more info to follow).
Note: we do not plan on finalizing our tournament roster until after other tryouts (mid-late May). In the interim, we'd like to encourage everyone to join us for pods, optional practices, and social events.
Upcoming Events:
- Pods: Mondays 7-8 PM at Mary and Moses Green Park (let us know if you are not in the groupme and would like to be added:)
- We will be hosting a Paint & Sip night soon (more info to follow)
- Keep an eye out for announcements about women's pick-up nights (starting up again in April!)
