Chapter of the Year - 2024
The Chapter of the Year Award is to recognize DECA chapters for all the amazing things that they do throughout the school year.

Here are the requirements to be considered for the award this year:
1. Host 4 DECA chapter events (One in October, November, December, and January)
2. Have a social media account for your chapter.
3. Utilize your chapter’s social media account in November, during DECA month, to promote Utah DECA.
4. Chapter must have participated in Utah DECA BINGO during the month of November and shared evidence on the chapter's social media account.
5. Have a minimum of 3 professional/alumni members as part of your DECA chapter.
6. Chapter must have had members attend the Fall Leadership Conference.
7. Chapter must have 20% of National members compete at their region competition.
8. Participate in the Utah DECA statewide service project. ( Partner with an organization in your area. Chapters must dedicate a minimum of 20 collective volunteer hours in service to the organization . Chapters need to highlight their service hours on the chapter's social media).

Chapters must complete all 8 requirements to be considered for Chapter of the Year and to receive Gold Certification. Silver Certification will be awarded for chapters completing 6 of the 8.

Chapter of the Year applications are due on Monday, February 5 by 10:00 p.m.

Chapters receiving Gold Certification will receive notification and will present at the Utah DECA State Conference. The Chapter of the Year Award will be presented during the Grand Awards Session at the State Conference.
