In this course, students will research and discuss the field of computational journalism and work on projects in areas such as finding new ways to discover and tell stories; helping journalists know more about their audience and build trust; understanding the media ecosystem; and assessing media impact. Which of these areas would you be most interested in exploring? Why? *
Can you describe previous experiences you've had in journalism and/or CS that have led you to be interested in computational journalism? *
Please note any technical experience you may have in building websites, data visualizations or graphics. NOTE: This is *not* a course requirement but we like to get a sense of how many students have prior experience in these areas.

Is there anything else you would like us to know about why you would like to take the class?
