Hello! We are the Environmental Graduate Student Association (EGSA) and we represent all graduate students within the SEED, SERS and GEM department. Our goal is to create a positive and inclusive environment and to facilitate a communication channel for graduate student to raise questions and concerns.
We occasionally host both small-scale and large-scale events to provide students the opportunity to network with their peers, communicate their concerns to EGSA so we can bring it forward to faculty and learn about useful resources/services they can access. Larger events tend to need volunteers however, some small scale events will also require a few volunteers. We will email volunteers at least a week (typically 2-3 weeks) prior to our events to see who is able and willing to participate.
Note: You are not require to volunteer for every event, please prioritize your studies and well-being, if you do not respond to our emails requesting volunteers we automatically assume you are unable to volunteer.
Examples of small scale events:
- Biweekly Coffee Socials
- Thrift Crawl
- Arcade Bar Night
Example of large scale events:
- Alumni panels (ex. our Alumni Meet & Eat event happening May 30th)
- Charity Balls
- Conferences
