Our ANNUAL PS 321 CARNIVAL on SATURDAY, MAY 17, is one of our school's biggest fundraisers, and an incredible community event filled with carnival games, face painting, delicious local food, bounce houses, and more! While we have a dedicated Chair, a solid blueprint, and several returning team members, we need more volunteers to JOIN OUR PLANNING TEAM! There’s a role for everyone - and is totally manageable even if you don’t have a lot of time to give.

If you'd like to join our team this year, please complete the below form. And if you'd like to learn more about what Carnival and all the roles below entail, please also plan to join us at our Carnival Kick Off Meeting on Thursday, January 23 @ 8:40am in the Upper School. If you have any questions or are unable to attend the first meeting but would like to know more, please email ps321-carnival@ps321.org.

CO-CHAIR - help organize and keep team on schedule; assign and delegate tasks; oversee logistics and execution

DECORATIONS & ENTERTAINMENT - coordinate decorations, photo booth; investigate possible entertainment

CAMP & AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS LIAISON - solicit local camps and after-school programs to run indoor or outdoor activations

SPONSORSHIPS & PARTNERSHIPS - solicit local businesses for donations to PS 321 to sponsor different components of the carnival

STAFFLE RAFFLE & KIDS RAFFLE - solicit items from local businesses and organizations to be raffled; work with PTA and Principal to coordinate Staffle Raffle

OUTDOOR BOUNCE ZONE & PLAY YARD - manage setup and execution of outdoor play yard and inflatables

CONCESSIONS & BAKE SALE - manage concessions; secure food and supplies; coordinate pizza donations and bake sale

INDOOR GAME ROOM & PRIZE ROOM - coordinate the game room and prize room; determine rules of carnival games; order prizes and determine pricing

POP UP USED BOOKS, GAMES, & PUZZLES SHOP - organize pop-up books, games, and puzzles shop; coordinate soliciting and sorting of donations

TRANSFORMATIONS - coordinate transformations spaces, face painting, tattoos, body art, nails and hair braiding; order supplies

TICKETS - order tickets; oversee packaging of tickets; help determine ticket pricing; manage ticket sales

GRAPHICS & SIGNAGE - create graphics for posters, signs, flyers; determine signage needs; print & hang

COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING - plan communications and marketing strategy; create copy for Tuesday Bulletin, emails to community, and social media posts

VOLUNTEER COORDINATION - determine volunteer needs; create sign-up list; assist with volunteer outreach; manage volunteers on the day of the carnival
