About auditions...

Guest director Tyler Stouffer and resident musical director Jodine Pilmer thank you for auditioning for Stage Left Players' summer musical, "The Wizard of Oz." So many great characters! There's Dorothy, of course- and she needs her Kansas family and friends who look amazingly similar to the new friends she'll make over the rainbow. Will you audition for the iconic scarecrow, the tinman, the lion, or how about a puppeteer Toto? How about Miss Gultch who turns a lovely shade of green to terrify Dorothy as the Wicked Witch of the West?  

Tyler and Jodine seek a cast of 18-24 adults and mature teens to step into the many roles to share this classic story with our community. Note: the Munchkins roles are filled by invitation only. We will not hold auditions and break a hundred kids' hearts on this one.

Choose your convenient one one hour time slot. Then come prepared! Here's what you need to do:
Please prepare 1 minute (32 Measures) of a song in the style of the show. You are welcome to bring a song of your choice, but we also have a few cuts from the show at this Google Drive link (Click Here!) if you would prefer to sing one of those! If you’re bringing your own song please bring sheet music! Jodine will accompany you. There is also a pdf of the script in this drive if you’d like to check it out!

Our friendly and encouraging staff is looking for your POTENTIAL, not perfection. New faces are always welcome! 

The show will be cast by Thursday April 25th. Rehearsals will begin for the full cast on Monday, April 29th!

We will rehearse approximately 3 hours/ 3-4 times per week plus longer rehearsals on weekends. All of these will be tailored to your character and scenes. You won't come to rehearsal to sit around and wait! We create our rehearsal calendar by analyzing your conflicts so please give us accurate information.

Performance Dates - 7 p.m. Fridays & Saturdays, June 21, 22, 28 & 29 and 2 p.m. Sundays, June 23 & 30, 2024. There will be an additional Sing-Along performance at 7 p.m. on Thursday June 27th

We look forward to meeting you during your 45 minute time slot at the Trinity Playhouse on Sunday, April 21st or Tuesday, April 23rd! If need be, there may be callbacks by invitation only on the evening of Tuesday April 23rd.
