Introduction
UNLV's Campus Community Garden (CCG) exists to develop a sense of community by providing faculty, staff and students a place to connect and engage with one another, grow their own food, and learn about sustainability, nutrition, health, and wellness.

The garden will be used as a place for research, experiential learning, and campus engagement. UNLV Service Learning and Leadership and the Rebel Recycling Program collaboratively manage the program and the plots. Each of these units has a Co-Chair seat on the CCG Committee. These Co-Chair roles are held by Tara Pike, UNLV Sustainability Coordinator and Stine Odegard, Assistant Director for Alternative Breaks and Service-Learning. Any future reference to the “Garden Manager” in this document is a reference to the Campus Community Garden Co-Chairs, until such time as a full-time garden Manager/Coordinator position is needed and created.

Gardening in the UNLV CCG is not like gardening in your own backyard, because how your group cares for its plot affects your neighbors’ plots. Therefore, the garden has policies on how and when certain things can be done. The following policies and guidelines outline the rules, terms, and conditions for participation in the UNLV CCG. Garden policies are reviewed and updated by the CCG Committee as necessary and changes will be made available to all gardeners. The Garden Manager will provide information on gardening methods to all gardeners upon request.
