This HRCA Blocktime Application will open at 12:00 pm on Monday, May 15th, 2023.


Dear Blocktime Captains,

New indoor blocktime sessions at the Northridge Recreation Center's Tennis Pavilion will begin Sunday, September 10, 2023. Purchasing blocktime assures you of a court at a specified day and time for the session. The online applications to reserve indoor blocktime for all blocktime options will be available Monday, May 15, 2023 at noon at this website: https://forms.gle/AX3gbYPFpSshm1ku9

This year (odd year), we will open all blocktime courts, days and times to everyone. During even numbered years, the HRCA will allow the prior year's blocktime holders to renew their exact same day and time on a first right of refusal. Again, this year we are scheduling blocktime anew. However, priority will be given to 31-week applications over 15-week or 16-week applications.

If more new requests for court time are received than available courts, the Tennis Team Leader will work with those parties to coordinate a mutually agreeable time. Should a time not be agreed upon by these parties, then a lottery will be held at a time to be decided at the Northridge Tennis Pavilion.

The 31-week session will run from Sunday, September 10, 2023 through Saturday, April 27, 2024. There will be no blocktime on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23, 2023 or Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. Prices for those days will be adjusted accordingly. There also will be a two-week moratorium from blocktime beginning Sunday, December 24, 2023 through Saturday, January 6, 2024. Please contact the Tennis Team Leader if you would like to schedule moratorium blocktime at your discounted rate.

The 15-week Fall/Winter session will run from Sunday, September 10, 2023 through Saturday, December 23, 2023. There will be no blocktime on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23, 2023.

** Securing Fall 15-week blocktime does not guarantee the blocktime captain the corresponding Spring 16-week blocktime. Purchasing the 31-week blocktime is a guarantee that you will secure the same court on the same day at the same time.

The 16-week Winter/Spring session will run from Sunday, January 6, 2024 through Saturday, April 27, 2024. There will be no blocktime on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024.

We are also offering indoor blocktime during the summer. This new summer blocktime does not have to be sequential. However, there must be a commitment of 10 or more weeks throughout the summer. This season runs from May 1, 2024 through August 31, 2024. Contact the Tennis Team Leader to apply.

The HRCA Tennis Team Leader or Tennis Coordinator will confirm final pricing with each blocktime court holder. Holidays and facility closures affect pricing.

- All Program Guests MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A MEMBER to enter the Northridge Recreation Center and pay the guest fee each time to participate in blocktime.

$6 Guest Fee per visit for program guests 2-11 years of age.
$7 Guest Fee per visit for program guests 12-17 and 55+ years of age.
$8 Guest Fee per visit for program guests 18-54 years of age.

- Early Bird blocktime must begin at 7:30 AM.

- Adjustments will be made for Thanksgiving and Easter holidays.

- Only HRCA residents in good standing can be blocktime captains.

- Guest 10-Punch Cards are available for purchase at any Recreation Center for $65.

* These guest punch cards expire one year from date of purchase. No refunds will be given for unused pass visits.

- All blocktime sales are final. No refunds will be given. In the event of facility closure or other facility emergencies, make-up dates may be requested.

- After 6pm, only 90-minute blocktime applications will be considered.
