Thank you so much for your interest in serving as a Camp Nurse for one of our weeks of the 2022 Summer Camp Season at Camp Tekakwitha. Our Camp Nurses are a crucial member of the team throughout every single week of camp.

Our Nurses primarily take care of distribution of medication, day to day care of campers (injuries, illnesses, etc.) under the standing orders from a Medical Director, and record keeping (using Ultra Camp). All of our nurses have a minimum qualification of RN (although some are APNP, MD, etc.) and we have two nurses on site every single week of camp.

In exchange for 1 week of volunteering, you will receive two free camperships for whomever you would like to designate those to. Some nurses will use both weeks for their children, others for a child and one of their friends, and others for grandchildren.

On some occasions, we do have nurses who will donate their weeks of camp to a family in need. Please let me know if you would like to do this and we can arrange for this to happen.

We ask nurses to arrive on Sunday around 1:00 p.m. and stay through Friday checkout. Nurses will be provided with a place to stay and food for the week. Nurses are more than welcome to bring their spouse or younger child if they would like. Please clear this with Rebecca before doing do.

All nurses are required to complete VIRTUS through the Diocese of Green Bay. This will be something that we ask you do complete and provide documentation for before your week of camp.

Weeks are filled up on a first come first serve basis.
