Please review the following attendance policy update: 

In grades 9-12, a student who misses more than 10 days in a semester, shall not be awarded course credit except by determination of the principal/designee upon careful review of the student records with a panel of individuals to include the student, parent(s)/guardian(s), teacher(s) of course(s), and other appropriate support staff (i.e. EC Chair, MTSS Coordinator).  Make up work shall be assigned by the student’s teacher as deemed appropriate.  All make up work shall be completed within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the child’s teacher. ( NHCS Board Policy)

Please note the following grading policy update:
Q1/Q3: Parents of students whose final average is an F or an INC will be notified that their child will receive an academic contract. The academic contract will outline academic support and opportunities to allow the students to gain a greater understanding of missed skills and improve their academic performance. 

After the parent, student, and teacher have agreed on an academic contract, the student will have two weeks to fulfill the requirements of the contract. 

Once students fulfill the contract, within the two-week allotted period, the Q1/Q3 grade will be updated.

If a student fails to fulfill their academic contract they will receive the grade floor of an F, numerically presented as a 50. 

All assignments in Q2/Q4 will appear in PowerSchool as a direct reflection of student performance (0-100%).


The final course grade will appear in PowerSchool as a direct reflection of student performance (0-100%).

Tardy Policy

      - 1st tardy- warning 

      - 2nd tardy- phone call to parent 

      - 3rd tardy- Office Referral. The Dean’s Office will assign consequence. 


Hall Passes

               - No passes the 1st and last 15 minutes of class

               - No passes given to unexcused late students

               - Students must be given a pass to leave the classroom.
