The Adirondack Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 12-5 PM at the Essex County Fairgrounds in Westport, NY. The theme for this year is ADIRONDACKS IN BLOOM, and all workshops and demonstrations will involve locally grown flowers and flowering plants.

Each year Adirondack Harvest program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Essex County hosts this one-day celebration of agriculture in the Adirondacks. The Harvest Festival is free to attend and regularly draws 4,000+ people of all ages.

The event highlights local food trucks, a farmers' market, live music, a local beer and wine tent, demonstrations and workshops, a farm animal petting zoo, educational kids activities, and more! Learn more about the event here.

Market Vendor- Vending is free, but vendors must become Adirondack Harvest members ($25-$100 suggested) and meet the requirements for Adirondack Harvest members (adirondackharvest.com/membership.) Vendors are expected to be at event site from 11am-5pm. All vendors will be in the farmers' market area, just outside Floral Hall unless otherwise requested. Vendors are expected to bring their own tent, table, and chairs. All vendors are required to primarily sell locally harvested products, or products primarily made with local ingredients.

Food Vendor- Businesses that are serving ready to eat food will have access to electricity and space on pavement, gravel or grass based on your needs. Food vendors are expected to provide their own trucks/tent/table/chairs. We ask that no generators are used for power- we will work with you to provide the electrical power you need. Food trucks/vendors must also have an active Adirondack Harvest membership, are expected to be at event site from 11am-5pm, and are required to primarily sell food made with locally harvested ingredients. We are happy to help you connect with local farms that sell wholesale.

Workshop Host- Workshop hosts are expected to lead a hands-on activity related to locally grown flowers that can be completed in 45 minutes. Workshop hosts are welcome to charge participants whatever fee they would like for their time and supplies. It is up to them to collect payment at the event. Workshops are held in a covered barn space with a pavement floor. There is access to electricity, tables and chairs.

Demonstrator- Demonstrators are given a table/space in Floral Hall, and are expected to bring all of the things they need to actively demonstrate their craft for most of the event. Demonstrators receive a $100 stipend.

Tabling for an Organization- For community organizations, non-profits, and businesses that don't want to sell anything, but want to table. Tables are assigned in Floral Hall, a folding table and chairs are provided. Tabling is free for Adirondack Harvest member businesses, all other organizations that would like to table are encouraged to sponsor the event, or make a donation to Adirondack Harvest of any amount.
