The Lyme Old Lyme Junior Women's Club was started in 1965. We are a group of women who live in Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Westbrook, Essex, and Deep River CT who work to better our community through a variety of service projects and social activities. We have an annual scholarship that is awarded to graduating high school seniors every spring. We meet once a month to discuss club business and socialize and we host a variety of fundraisers throughout the year.
In this time of COVID, most our activities are limited to Online Zoom meetings and virtual fundraiser, while we normally support a local charity in addition to funding our scholarship, we recognize that raising funds is going to be a challenge this year and are choosing to only focus energy on the scholarship and building relationships among our member, as well as working on some "no-cost" or "low-cost" organizational improvements that have been discussed for several years but have been prioritized below our larger in-person fundraisers.
