Our Revolution Medford Candidate Agreement (2021)
By requesting this endorsement from Our Revolution Medford, I, the candidate, agree to the below commitments during my electoral campaign and while in office.

I understand that the Our Revolution Medford membership supports endorsed candidates through organizing and volunteering, and that as an endorsed candidate I will be included in campaign-related outreach to support the Our Revolution Medford slate.

I also understand that in making the below commitments, I am holding myself accountable to the people of Medford, who have democratically and collaboratively developed this platform to help make our local government more inclusive and responsible to the needs of everyone who calls Medford home.

I agree to fully support the 2021 Medford People’s Platform (https://ourrevolutionmedford.com/2021-platform/) and agree to adopt the platform as part of my personal platform. *
Here are some of the ways, once elected, I will demonstrate my commitment to the Medford People’s Platform: *
During my campaign, I commit to spending an equal amount of funds as all other endorsed candidates for any joint expenditures when agreed to by the Coordinated Campaign Team, of which all endorsed candidates will be a member. (A summary of the draft Our Revolution Medford Coordinated Campaign Plan can be provided to a candidate upon request). *
During and after my campaign, I will not take campaign funds from real estate developers, police unions, charter school PACs, large corporate PACs, or private health insurance PACs. *
After my election, I commit to participating in regular review of public meeting agendas and packets with OR-endorsed officials and OR Medford members in order to determine how we can engage the greatest number of community members in local government decision-making in a meaningful way. *
During and after my campaign, I commit to seeking out community groups composed of people of color, women, LGBTQ people, youth, undocumented immigrants and people with limited English proficiency (LEP), people with disabilities, marginalized religious and ethnic groups, renters, low-income people, people experiencing homelessness, and anyone else with lived experiences that inform and inspire Medford People’s Platform goals. I commit to both bringing these people into Medford community groups like Our Revolution and our allied progressive organizations through my campaign, and supporting their involvement in local politics after my campaign. *
After my election, I commit to, within the first six months of my term, holding my own open office hours in a public informal setting (or virtual equivalent). *
