Sessions covered are as follows:

1) What is a Social Enterprise – an intro to Nova and to VCSE Sector, recognising a need and social impact
2) Your business idea – developing your strategy and writing a business plan
3) Setting up a Social Enterprise – which legal structure is right for you and what do you need to do?
4) Funding – sources of funding ,fundraising, writing successful bids and match funding for small capital grants
5) Getting your message across – marketing campaign, market research, social media and website
6) Looking after the finances – what to consider – budgets, cashflow, management of finances, support
7) Legal duties – policies and procedures, health & safety and safeguarding
8) Next steps – Nova support, further support and training
