Historical horse racing (HHR) has been a critical part of the success of Kentucky's horse industry. If the legislature does not take action to preserve HHR, Kentucky will see the immediate loss of 1,400 jobs and millions of dollars of investment. Worse, the state would see the rapid erosion of the entire horse industry without the purse and breeders incentives funded by HHR. This puts the industry's $5.2 billion economic impact on the state and 60,000 jobs at serious risk. I urge you to take action to preserve this vital part of Kentucky's horse industry.
