The Interior Therapist Community (ITC) is forming a community of Catholic therapists who are interested in using Internal Family Systems (IFS) in a Catholic context and exploring the connections of this theory to a Catholic anthropology and theology. IFS is an evidence based therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. This Community is open to therapists, counselors, and interns.

IFS has proven to be not only an effective therapeutic model but also an effective tool for self awareness and healing. By means of internal awareness, the therapist can be more present. The Catholic therapists involved in this Community have found the learning and experiential opportunities to be helpful as persons, therapists, and children of God.

The Interior Therapist Community (ITC) was established in 2020 by Dr. Peter Malinoski. Dr. Malinoski has completed IFS Levels 1, 2, and 3 training, as well as the IFIO marriage/couples therapy training.  Peter leads ITC foundation experiential groups and advanced groups. He produces the "Interior Integration for Catholics" Podcast and actively participates in the online community.

Psychologist, Dr. Peter Martin, who is also IFS trained, has been leading ITC groups since Spring 2021. Dr. Martin has a special interest in Attachment-Focused therapy and Religiously/Spiritually Integrated Treatments. He leads foundations experiential and advanced groups.  Both Dr. Martin and Dr. Malinoski are available for individual IFS related consultations.

Jody Garneau, a graduate of Divine Mercy University and a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Vancouver BC, Canada, is the Chief Navigator of the ITC. She supports the groups and develop the therapist community. Jody has completed IFS Level 1 and 2 as well as other IFS specialized training for integrated trauma treatment and Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO).
