MaineTransNet is a community based organization led by transgender people for transgender people: this includes nonbinary, genderqueer, and all other gender-nonconforming identities. Our programming is driven by the needs of our community, and we rely on the support and participation of volunteers like you to help meet the needs of transgender Mainers statewide. We are also always ready to hear more about programming you would like to see, so please feel free to contact us at info@mainetransnet.org!

While some volunteer opportunities may be reserved for adults ages 18+, Youth ages 16-17 are welcome to participate in most opportunities: special considerations may be made for any young person wishing to participate to ensure safety and confidentiality.

Please Note: Some volunteer opportunities, such as joining MTN as a Peer-to-Peer Group Facilitator, may require the completion of a background check (at no cost to the Facilitator).
