Thank you for your interest in Rural Route Ramble 2023. (December 1-2) We are thrilled to bring our fourth annual event to a rural town near you!
This event is designed to promote small, locally owned businesses in NW Iowa and the towns they call home. Businesses include but are not limited to: boutiques, home goods, handmade items, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and pop-up vendors. At this time we are not accepting consignment shops, MLMs, or franchised businesses. The Rural Route Ramble team is committed to curating a vendor list that speaks to our audience.
Our route is designed to be achievable over the course of two days. This means we select our featured towns accordingly. We ask that you be located within 45 miles of Moville, IA at least 10 miles outside of the Sioux City metro, with a population of less than 5,500. If your geographical location isn't a fit, you can always consider finding a pop-up location along the route! Towns with at least three vendors bring in the largest numbers. If you are looking to make your hometown a stop, help us out by recruiting your friends to apply as well!
Speaking of pop-up vendors. You are welcome to apply with a location in mind. If that is not the case, the RRR planning team will help place you along the route. All pop-up vendors need to apply through the Rural Route Ramble event. We work hard to curate a unique and cohesive experience with a balanced vendor list in each community. Failure to have pop up vendors apply, will disqualify the brick and mortar business and the pop-up from future events.
Our shoppers want a chance to meet all of our talented vendors. Please be sure you can stay open for the entirety of the event before applying. This standardization is important for the shoppers traveling in to shop.
Retail: Friday 12/1 10-6 and Saturday 12/2 9-4.
Restaurant: Friday 12/1 11-6 and Saturday 12/2 11-4.
Coffee Shop: Friday 12/1 10-1 and Saturday 12/2 9-1.
We will begin accepting vendors on 9/1 and the application will remain open through 11/5. The earlier you apply, the more likely we can work you onto the route so don't wait! All accepted applications will be asked to email 3-5 high quality photos to ruralrouteramble@gmail.com. Submitting an application does not secure your spot on the route. Please refrain from using the Rural Route Ramble name until you have received notification of your acceptance.
