This Form must be completed if you would like to nominate to be selected by Fencing NZ to fence in international events.
COMMITMENT
TO FENCE
By nominating yourself for the events below you undertake to fence in the event, if selected.
Deposit
A Nomination Fee of One Hundred and Fifty dollars ($150.00) is payable to Fencing New Zealand in support of your nomination. This fee is payable for each tournament that you nominate for (only one fee of $150 even if nominating for more than one age group within the tournament).
You acknowledge that the deposit may be used by Fencing New Zealand
to defray some of the costs associated with your participation, including an
administration fee of $50 and a team participation fee of $50 payable to Fencing
NZ if selected for any Team Event. In the event that you are selected and do
not participate for any reason, the deposit will not be refunded. If your nomination is unsuccessful, your Nomination fee will be refunded.
You understand that there may be
additional costs payable by fencers to cover costs of coaching and officials at the international tournament and you (or your parents/ legal guardian if under 18 years old) undertake to pay
these to Fencing New Zealand on request.
In the event that you are selected you will
provide any additional information requested, and complete and sign the Code of
Conduct.
If under 18 years of age, this form must
also be signed by a parent or legal guardian. You must also have the permission of your Coach to Nominate to an international event.
