Introduction

Perform 4 Purpose has a set of expectations for conduct at all Perform 4 Purpose programs including camps, student workshops, and events. These expectations are based on the principles of civility, mutual respect, citizenship, character, tolerance, honesty and integrity. Perform 4 Purpose is committed to offering music education and performance opportunities to all students on an equal basis regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. Perform 4 Purpose is committed to providing a safe and orderly environment where performers may receive, and instructors may deliver, quality educational services without disruption or interference. Responsible behavior by performers, parents, teachers, Perform 4 Purpose representatives, and other visitors to Perform 4 Purpose programs is essential to achieving this goal.

Participant Responsibilities

Perform 4 Purpose participants include, but are not limited to, performers, parents/guardians, teachers/facilitators, Board Members, and other Perform 4 Purpose representatives. Participants have the responsibility and agree to:

Refer to Perform 4 Purpose website for details of any performances (www.perform4purpose.org/performers). This may include details such as attire, set up time, performance time, equipment needs, and directions.
Communicate, communicate, communicate. If participants are going to be late or are unable to make a performance and/or rehearsal, please communicate this information accordingly.
Know the set list and have the equipment/materials needed, such as own lyrics or charts.
Accept responsibility for their own language, manners, and behavior.
Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly environment that is conducive to learning and to show respect to other persons and to property.
Remember KBH (be kind, brave, and help others).
Be familiar with the code of conduct located on the bottom of the Performer’s page on the website (www.perform4purpose.org/performers).
Work to the best of their ability in all musical pursuits and strive toward their highest level of achievement possible.
React to direction given by Perform 4 Purpose instructors in a respectful, positive manner.
Help spread the mission of Perform 4 Purpose! Support, promote, and encourage attendance at performance events.
Be on time for performances and rehearsals.

Failure to follow any of the above guidelines could result in a performer being asked not to participate in a Perform 4 Purpose program, and immediate forfeit of any scholarships.
