Heart & Soul Music Stroll Volunteer Sign-Up 2020
Dear Heart & Soul Music Stroll Volunteers,

Thank you for volunteering with us this year. We could not do this event without your dedication to Heart & Soul, H&S Music Stroll and our mission.

The ninth annual Heart & Soul Music Stroll will take place on Saturday, June 13th from 3-8pm in the Imperial Park Neighborhood at 1530 E 2700 S, SLC UT 84106.

Heart & Soul Music Stroll is only possible because of volunteers like you! Thank you!

Over the years we have taken all the feedback we have received to help improve the volunteer experience.

We are really hoping to have plenty of volunteers selling raffle tickets, talking about Heart & Soul and its mission and hosting porches. Additionally we hope to provide a fun, positive experience for all the bands, guests and residents of the neighborhood.

Heart & Soul will confirm with you via email in early May about your specific volunteer position, shift times and provide training materials so you are prepared and ready for Heart & Soul Music Stroll 2020.

Volunteer Positions:

Welcome Gates – Training required for all new volunteers and recommended for return volunteers.
Be the face of Heart & Soul Music Stroll! Greet participants as they arrive, distribute one free raffle ticket, sell additional ones, pass out maps and information, and act as a point of reference for guests. Be comfortable talking about Heart & Soul at a basic level (training will be provided,) with handling money, and providing a welcoming attitude to everyone.

**New in 2020**
We are looking for 4 Gate Captains.
These volunteers will be responsible for helping find, train and schedule gate # additional volunteers for one particular gate (North Filmore, South Filmore, North Glenmare and South Glenmare.)
We need at least two volunteers at each gate, at a time. Welcome Gates run from 2:30pm to 6:45pm.
Training materials and additional information will be provided in May.

Porch Host – Training required for ALL new volunteers and recommended for return volunteers.
The porch host introduces all bands on a specific porch, and acts as a point of reference for the bands. This position will handle any troubleshooting that may arise, and give our sponsors recognition in their introduction. They will also promote Heart and Soul’s mission (training packet will be available)

Volunteer/Band Check-In
Help check in volunteers and direct them to their designated areas, answer any questions that arise, and make sure that everyone gets their SWAG!
Make sure that approved personnel (performers, volunteers, Heart & Soul affiliates) are admitted to the green room, assist with distribution of drinks and food, and help keep the area clean.

Set-Up Crew
Embrace your inner roadie for the day by setting the stage for over 40 bands! This position will help set up pop-ups, tables, and other necessities throughout the neighborhood before the Stroll starts. Bring your Fitbit, because walking is guaranteed.  Coffee and bagels will be provided!

Clean-Up Crew
There’s nothing so disheartening as waking up the morning after a party and discovering that the mess is still there. Help us put the neighborhood back the way we found it at the end of the Heart & Soul Music Stroll by packing away pop-ups, tables, and trash, and making sure that we’re invited back next year!

Flex Volunteer
Help fill-in where we need additional support.

Invite your friends and family to join in on all the volunteering fun!
