RISEF Judges
On Saturday, March 12, 2022, hundreds of young scientists will gather at Times2 Academy in Providence to present the results of their scientific investigations at the Rhode Island Science and Engineering Fair (RISEF). Students will compete for first, second, and third place awards, many special grants and scholarships. The top two senior division winners will represent Rhode Island at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Atlanta in May.

Essential to the success of the fair is an abundance of qualified judges who will listen to the students explain what they have done and encourage them to continue to pursue their interest in science. We need judges who are knowledgeable in their field and who are able to spend time on Saturday, March 12, interacting with students and giving them a positive experience. The more judges we are able to recruit, the better the experience will be both for the student and the judges. We encourage you to participate and to invite your colleagues, graduate students, and undergraduates with sufficient background to sign up as well.

Please select up to five areas in which you are competent to judge.

Junior Division Projects are submitted by students in middle and junior high schools, typically grades 6-8.  Senior Division Projects are done by students in high school.(Note: Because there are many more Jr. projects, we are usually not able to grant requests for only Sr. projects.)
