Tāhuhu | Stories of Ancestry | Submission Form
This form is for Tai Tamariki to register their documentary story idea to be considered for Phase Two of Tāhuhu Stories of Ancestry kaupapa.

Submissions remain open to all interested Tai Tamariki between the ages of 16 and 26 until 4pm Friday 1st October.

Our intention is to select up to 5 (five) stories/Tai Tamariki Māori teams to advance through to a week long story development noho and be supported to produce their first short documentary film.

Schools/Kura can submit an idea but must identify Tai Tamariki to lead in the development of the story idea.

The kaupapa mātua is to instil traditional and cultural knowledge that will form a foundation to inspire Tai Tamariki storytellers - their stories, their way.

Ngā Kōnae Ako
To gain a basic understanding of Te Reo me ōna Tikanga Marae.
To attain a deeper understanding of local ahurea Māori.
To ascertain the skills required to create a short script for documentary film.
To understand the roles and responsibilities of the writer, producer and director of a film.
To identify career pathways within the media industry.
To explore a kaupapa Maori approach to visual storytelling.

Please note: you do not have to have attended one of our wānanga to be eligible for the next phase of the kaupapa.
