In the vital business role of a Part-Time Accounting Associate, you will support the CEO with various accounting functions in addition to preparing and executing invoicing, vendor payments, and financial reporting. RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting the CEO, the Accounting Associate will be responsible for essential accounting functions, including preparing invoices and financial reports. Core responsibilities include:
· Managing client's accounts
· Preparing accounts payable and receivable invoices
· Preparing financial statements and ad hoc reports
· Performing the essential accounting functions
· Offering bookkeeping services to clients
· Analyzing the client's financial records
· Correcting any inaccuracies and errors
· Performing reconciliations of all the reports
· Supervising and tracking incomes and expenses
· Validating bank accounts
· Maintaining ledger accounts
· Answering client's queries
· Performing data entry and word processing
· Working in collaboration with CPA’s and tax accountants
· Maintaining a healthy relationship with the clients
· Performing clerical duties as and when required
· Assisting in payroll and compliance audits
· Suggesting improvements in the budget
· Adhering to all the accounting rules and regulations
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Required:
5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of experience utilizing Quickbooks Online and Desktop
Good understanding of state and federal tax laws and regulations
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Outstanding cash-handling skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to solve complex problems and decision-making skills
Phenomenal time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a close observation of accuracy
Excellent arithmetic and numerical skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Tools
Must be able to work up to 10 hours a week with core days Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
