RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the CEO, the Accounting Associate will be responsible for essential accounting functions, including preparing invoices and financial reports. Core responsibilities include:

·       Managing client's accounts

·       Preparing accounts payable and receivable invoices

·       Preparing financial statements and ad hoc reports

·       Performing the essential accounting functions

·       Offering bookkeeping services to clients

·       Analyzing the client's financial records

·       Correcting any inaccuracies and errors

·       Performing reconciliations of all the reports

·       Supervising and tracking incomes and expenses

·       Validating bank accounts

·       Maintaining ledger accounts

·       Answering client's queries

·       Performing data entry and word processing

·       Working in collaboration with CPA’s and tax accountants

·       Maintaining a healthy relationship with the clients

·       Performing clerical duties as and when required

·       Assisting in payroll and compliance audits

·       Suggesting improvements in the budget

·       Adhering to all the accounting rules and regulations

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Required:

  •  5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing Quickbooks Online and Desktop

  • Good understanding of state and federal tax laws and regulations

  •  Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices

  •  Outstanding cash-handling skills

  •  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  •  Ability to solve complex problems and decision-making skills

  • Phenomenal time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a close observation of accuracy

  • Excellent arithmetic and numerical skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Tools

  • Must be able to work up to 10 hours a week with core days Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 

  • Outstanding ability to work independently as well as part of a team
