The Coalition for Sensible Safeguards, the Center for Progressive Reform, and Public Citizen are holding a webinar to discuss the Congressional Review Act. Over the last three decades, the CRA has been increasingly used to undermine and prevent the implementation of important regulations. As we approach the end of a presidential administration, these dangers are taking on even greater significance because of the law’s complex “lookback” period.

The webinar will provide an overview of the CRA with a particular focus on the how the lookback period works. Panelists will also discuss new and emerging controversies surrounding the CRA, current research on how it is being abused, and reform options to blunt the law’s threats. We will have time for questions and answers with the expert panel at the end of the discussion.

The webinar will take place at 1 pm on May 13, 2024.
