The purpose of the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER III or ARP ESSER) is to help schools and districts safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools over the next several years. ESSER-funded activities must respond to all students' academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs. ESSER III requires districts to reserve 20% of their allocation to address lost instructional time with evidence-based interventions.
Coastal Plains Charter Education High School plans to utilize American Rescue Plan (ARP) federal funds to address all students' academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Until September of 2023, the funds will be used to overcome student learning loss and support the district's multi-tiered system of student support, including social and emotional health.
Coastal Plains Charter Education High School will continue to monitor, evaluate, and update our plan based on stakeholder feedback and the district's comprehensive needs assessment throughout the funding period of the ARP ESSER grant at least every six months. This form will allow you to provide feedback on the plan and use of funds. In addition, your input will help the district understand community priorities for using ESSER III funds as we move through the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic.
All parents, district employees, students and community members are urged to complete an "updated" survey to help the district determine what changes, if any, need to be made to its "Safe Return to School and Continuity Plan" which utilizes ESSER funds. Stakeholders are again reminded that school districts are limited to what they can use ESSER funds to support. If translation services are needed, please contact
