The purpose of this application is to get to know your mission and better understand its impact and engagement with both our church and the community you serve as we discern mission funding for next year.  Please  understand that First Cary UMC is prayerfully discerning our 2024 grants as we seek to steward the resources we have in the places and unique ways that God is calling us to serve, and make an impact in bringing forth God's Kingdom.  You will need to also email a detailed budget to spurdy@firstcary.com as a part of this application by November 5, 2023.
Purpose
Mission Funds are meant to be supplemental funding that assists members of the congregation and partner ministries in missions that align with the Four Mission Elements of First Cary UMC with specific emphasis on equipping and empowering the congregation for hands-on ministry and witness beyond the walls of the church (Acts 1:8).  Mission funding is designed to support participation in ministries that seek to specifically and intentionally transform the world through committed discipleship as they engage in “hands on” ministry that connects with the following Four Elements of First Cary UMC's Mission:

Worship
Fellowship (i.e., Strengthen, develop, and renew Christian congregations and communities)
Service
Witness (i.e., Make disciples of Jesus Christ)

Additional Information
All missions seeking budgeted funding for FY2024 must submit this application along with a budget on or before November 10, 2023 to be considered for funding. Missions may submit this form after November 10, 2023 to request Rapid Response funding to address a particular project or need. These requests will be reviewed by the committee on a rolling basis provided funds are available.
