Following the success of SPEX events at the VPA symposium and the University of Kentucky - Lexington, the VPA will send a few postdocs to Oak Ridge National Laboratory to participate in the ORNL Postdoctoral Association (ORPA) symposium on Tuesday, August 6. This will be a one-day trip.

Selected postdocs will have the chance to present their work in oral and/or poster presentations and will get the chance to directly interact with staff scientists (comparable to PIs in academic institutions), career offices, and industry representatives. This may lead to new collaborations, career advice, or even leads and support when looking for permanent positions!
