Current AO Teacher? *
What grade will you be in next year? *
Parents' primary email address *
Who is a teacher who would recommend you for this club? *
The work we do takes place during AO (once a week). Are you already committed to or applying to another club that meets during AO? (Spartan Council, Peer Helpers, or WEB Leaders?). If so, that's fine! Sometimes we are able to work out a schedule. Just need to know ahead of time. *
Are you taking a class that meets at the high school during 1st period? *
Are you familiar with TED-Ed Clubs / TED Talks / what we do as a club? *
This club requires a lot of work outside of school. Do you think you can handle that on top of what you are currently managing? *
Students are often motivated by grades, but the successful completion of the TED process is not a graded assignment. This club is not a graded class. Therefore, many students who are in this club make TED a last priority because they have tests, HW, clubs, sports, etc. We are looking for students who are motivated to produce quality work and won't procrastinate. While we are not asking you to make TED your main priority, we are looking for participants who won't procrastinate or put it off, which would hurt the quality of the work. Are you willing to devote the necessary time it takes to successfully completing the TED process? Explain. Also, know this--it's no more than any other class or sport. *
Why do you want to join the TED-Ed Club? *
Why do you want to change the world? *
Do you already have a BIG idea? If so, what is it? If not, that's fine, too! This answer does not hurt or help your chances of being selected for the club. *
