Queer & Trans Masculinities: A Community Conversation with Shane Stinson
This session explores and challenges the many ideas we have been socialized to believe about masculinity within queer and trans communities. Attendees can expect to define and debunk toxic masculinity while also identifying healthier ways to express their own masculinity. Shane will facilitate conversations with participants that explore the impacts of how we express our masculinity and its effects on our relationships with our body, our community, our partners, and ourselves. Shane will share stories about how his transition helped him redefine his relationship with masculinity and he will facilitate self-love activities that help participants do the same. Attendees will leave this session feeling liberated from the expectations society imposes on us.
