Thespian Board Application 2024-2025
The following form is the application to be considered for a position on the thespian board for the 2024-2025 school year.

Due Friday, April 5th by 3:30 - No Exceptions!
There is a video component to this application, so do not procrastinate! If you need support (i.e.help uploading a video), please reach out sooner rather than later. Seniors on board will help you with the technical aspects of your video, but we will not assist in writing a script or filming. You may opt to give a speech to the troupe at the April 5th Thespian meeting in place of doing a video.

We are looking to compose a board of around 8 students who will represent the troupe and assist Alex in making decisions regarding the entirety of the troupe.
On this form, you will be asked to apply for the position of "President" or to be a "Board Member". Alex will make final decisions regarding who is sorted into what position on board based on the qualifications of the individuals. If you move forward to the interview round, you will not be asked in the interview which position you would want on board, however it is strongly recommended that you get an idea of the job descriptions and come into this process with clear values and goals as a potential board member. Alex reserves the right to create and dissolve positions based on the strengths of the applicants.
To give you an idea of the board positions, the following is the 2023-2024 school year board.
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Spirit and Outreach Coordinator
- Historian
- Membership Coordinator and Equity Chair
- Underclassman Representative
If you have questions about the roles or what board does, it is strongly recommended that you ask a senior on board before this application is due.

Seniority for these positions will not be a decision-making factor.  Decisions will be based on the application, interview, video, and how the individual has handled themselves within the context of Creek Theater.

If applying for board you must be committed to participating in all productions during the 2024-2025 season (regardless of casting or crew head assignment).

Thank you and good luck!

If you need support (i.e.help uploading a video), please reach out sooner rather than later. Seniors on board will help you with the technical aspects of your video, but we will not assist in writing a script or filming, as we want this to be equitable.

This video/speech must be appropriate as it will be sent to the whole troupe.

There is no expectation for the video to be "professionally filmed". In the past, most students have filmed on their phone in their house. However, other students have made their videos more creative. How you do your video/speech is completely up to you, however you must include the following information.
- Name
- Pronouns
- What you're applying for (president or board member)
- Grade for the 2024-2025 school year

It is recommended that you speak on at least one idea you have for the troupe.
