The Farmers' Market annual Best in the Ark-La-Tex Salsa Contest is quickly approaching, so make your plans to join us now! This is one of the most anticipated events of the summer! Be prepared to try all kinds of homemade salsas and vote for your favorites!

Rules:
Contestants, please read VERY carefully!!

1. ALL salsa that will be SOLD must be inspected by the City of Texarkana Texas Health Department.
a. You are allowed to test at home, as long as you use the required form which can be found at the end of this survey.
b. If you do not wish to test your own salsa, you may drop off 1 small serving of salsa from EACH batch of salsa made on Monday, August 1 or, Tuesday, August 2 by 4:00PM at the front desk at City Hall.
I. When dropping off jars, make sure to leave your contact information attached to your salsa.
II. Each batch will be tested on Wednesday, August 3.
III. If your salsa passes inspection, we will give you stickers for each jar from each passing
batch.
IV. If a jar does not pass, we will notify you and that batch cannot be sold.

2. Please label all jars entered with your name and contact info, and the date it was produced.

3. Salsa sales are absolutely permissible this year! Jar up your best contender and let everyone bring home a sample!

4. If selling, be certain that your jars are labeled with contents, date produced, and your name. Any jars without this information will not be made available for purchase.

Day of Contest:

1. Bring at least 1-quart sized jar of salsa for each category you wish to enter. There are five Categories that will be available to enter, sample, and vote on.
2. If you plan to sell your salsa, you may bring as many properly labeled jars as you would like.
3. All samples must be entered at the Market Table by 8:30AM Saturday, August 6. Tasting and sampling begins at 9:00AM.
