BioData.pt Community, Platform or Focus Group participant form

We would like to learn more about the interests of our associates' affiliates in participating in BioData.pt. BioData.pt is the Portuguese Infrastructure of Biological Data and the Portuguese Node of ELIXIR. If you consider that BioData.pt can help you sort out your challenges in data management, bioinformatics and computing, kindly continue reading this introduction and fill out the following survey.

BioData.pt has three operational instruments through which computing, data and bioinformatics, software, training, services and other needs are identified and solutions are developed. These are the Communities, the Platforms and the Focus Groups. Usually, these  are national mirrors of their ELIXIR counterparts.

- BioData.pt Communities bring together domain specific experts across Portugal to develop standards, services and training within specific life science domains. The Communities also provide feedback on the Platform services, helping to ensure the developed services are practical and useful.

- BioData.pt Platforms run scientific and technical activities in BioData.pt bringing together experts to define the strategy and provide services in a particular area e.g. training, data, compute. In this way, Platforms support the communities to fill the gaps they identify.

- BioData.pt Focus Groups are agile multidisciplinary structures that bring interested parties together around a particular topic. Typically they are used to address emerging areas of interest and seek to identify a strategy that BioData.pt can follow.
