The LOFT is excited to host a Drag Queen Story Hour virtually via Zoom for Westchester Pride 2021 with Shay D'Pines & Angel Elektra on Saturday, June 12th, from 10:00am-11:00am ET! The purpose of this survey is to guarantee only families receive the Zoom link and keep the virtual space safe for families to interact with Angel & Shay.

What is Drag Queen Story Hour? Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in various locations. This time we will be using Zoom! DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.

Shay D'Pines & Angel Elektra will be reading This Day in June by Gayle E. Pitman, The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish Swish Swish by Lil Miss Hot Mess, and the Kindness Book by Todd Parr.
