JOB BRIEF
The core purpose of this role is to provide leadership and direction for HardBall Foundation. The CEO will work closely with Hardball Foundation Board of Directors to develop strategies to grow fundraising, advocate to improve the standard of living, and general well-being of Nigerians. The CEO will ensure effective implementation of strategy, drive implementation and report on results on a full time basis.
KEY JOB DUTIES
Leadership:
- Provide clear vision, purpose for the Foundation
- Operate as a positive role model for the culture of the Foundation
- Must be principled and act with integrity
- Develop a high performing collaborative team
- Provide the Board of Directors with trusted feedbacks
- Resourceful and willing to take measured risks
Strategy:
- Understands context and has a clear long-term view
- Navigates ambiguity and is relentlessly solutions driven
- Use strong analytical and innovative thinking to develop a clear business strategy to achieve goals
- Ensure alignment with Hardball Foundation strategic direction
Fundraising:
- Develop high performing fundraising strategies which are cost effective
- Ensure fundraising goals are achieved
- Ensure there is a clear communication strategy which maximizes opportunities for advocacy, fundraising and builds Hardball foundation's brand reputation.
Financial Management:
- Strong financial leadership
• Ensure financial goal are achieved
Reputation:
- Develop and maintain a strong positive brand reputation for HardBall Foundation
- Ensure HardBall Foundation's profile is enhanced through media appearances and top-level engagement with Government, business, the general public and other NGOs
- Form positive collaborative relationships with other member of Staff, and volunteers
Results:
- Achieve strategic goals for fundraising, Programme management, advocacy and financial reserves
- Ensure excellence in productivity
- Ensure financial accountability and transparency that demonstrates Hardball Foundation as leaders in the effective use of charitable donations
Also the ideal candidate will undertake any other duties within reasonable limits, as requested by the Board of Directors.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable leadership skills
• Strong strategic capability
• Proven ability of achieving organizational goals
• Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
• 5 Years Knowledge and experience of NOT FOR PROFIT sector will be beneficial
