Ashburnham is a beautiful boutique hotel, hidden away in the foothills of the Knuckles Mountain Range. The Estate House at Ashburnham was the the Principal Planters home for the large Mahatenne Estate, planted in the 1930s, when tea first came to this part of Sri Lanka. Originally British-owned, the house and estate passed through gradually more Sri Lankan hands until it was bought by David Swannell in 2004. Set on a 98 acre tea estate, it offers guests the perfect location to relax, unwind and enjoy stunning views and magical sunsets. Aravinda Rathnayake:
Between parents who worked in conservation, a love of the outdoors, and an early immersion in the natural environment, Aravinda found the influences that led him to become the naturalist guide he is today. His expertise on the Sri Lankan landscape and its wildlife-rich ecosystems is vast. Driven by a desire to help people deepen their connection with nature and appreciate the beauty of life that surrounds them, Aravinda's passion and irrepressible enthusiasm inspires all who travel with him and his vast knowledge deeply enriches every experience.

Mahesh Pathirana:
Master Mahesh is a Qigong and Tai Chi instructor with more than 25 years of experience in practicing and teaching Wushu, Kung Fu and Tai Chi. He was the National Wushu champion in 1994 and Gold medal winner for Tai Chi in 1st South Asian Wushu championship in 2000 (Nepal). Also he is an International Wushu Federation referee and International Health Qigong federation referee. He holds the position of Technical Director of Sri Lanka Health Qigong association and he was the former president of the selection committee for Wushu. Master Mahesh has 10 years of experience in Qigong (Martial Qigong and Health/Medical Qigong) and is the Gold medal winner of IHQF health Qigong games in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
