Registrations: Canterbury Plantout Saturday October 5th - West Melton and Greendale
Key information before registering:
By filling out this registration form, you are planning to volunteer plant at native greendot sites on Saturday 5th of October.  The back up date in case of bad weather is the 12th of October. Please keep this date available as well.
For this planting day, we will be visiting two sites in West Melton and Greendale. We provide spades and clean gloves but you are welcome to bring your own. All ages are welcome, children are the responsibility of their parent / guardian. Sites can be muddy or hilly. GUMBOOTS or a second pair of sturdy shoes or boots are recommended.

A registration pack with maps, directions and a schedule will be emailed to you before the planting day.

Section 2. Transport
Please note that this is self drive event planting at two sites. Please contact office@kakariki.org.nz if you would like to participate in  carpooling as either a driver or passenger. The sites are 20 minutes apart.
Maps, directions and a schedule will be emailed to you in the weeks leading up to the plantout event.
Section 3. Food
Morning tea and afternoon tea including hot drinks and water will be provided.
Please bring your own lunch.

Section 4. Health and Safety
Personal safety is the responsibility of the participant, or in the case of minors, the guardian. If you have a medical condition please advise the event coordinator by emailing office@kakariki.org.nz. Sites may be steep, rough or muddy and weather may be cold. Sturdy footwear, practical clothing and hats are necessary.  Participants will be required to read and sign a health and safety document on arrival and there will be a site specific induction before planting begins. A trained first aider will be on site all day and sunscreen, drinking water, toilets and snacks will be available at all times
