Cannock Chase Shed offers 2 types of membership:

a) Full Member subscription @ £30 per year with a session fee of £1/session.

b) Honorary Member, non-attending, non-voting supporter of CCS with free membership.

We want you and your fellow Shedders to be healthy, safe and comfortable while participating in Shed activities. At your induction, please alert us to any conditions or information you would like us to take into consideration when you participate in these activities.

                                                                 Privacy

All personal information will be treated as confidential and it will not be distributed, sold or shared with third parties outside Cannock Chase Shed, except if required by law. The only personal information we will hold electronically will be names, age/date of birth, postal address, phone numbers and email addresses.

I hereby consent to the collection and use of my personal images by photography or video recording.

I agree these may be used by Cannock Chase Shed and any of its supporters or donors, in hard copy or electronic format, to publicise, promote and celebrate Cannock Chase Shed.

I will arrange to remove myself from any situations where I may not want such images to be taken.

I understand no personal information other than first name will be used in any publications.

Only my name, phone number and email address can be shared with other Members of CCS.

                                                    Health & Safety (H&S)

It is my responsibility to comply with the Shed’s Constitution, H&S Policy and Code of Conduct. (Click here to check)

The activities of the Shed can be hazardous and I will be doing them at my own risk, in accordance with Cannock Chase Shed H&S procedures.

I must undergo a H&S induction process to be assessed for competence, or to be trained, in the use of any items of equipment I wish to use.

I must not use any item of equipment independently until my name is on the ‘Authorised User’ list for that equipment.

I will ensure my full understanding of the instructions for the use and safety of any piece of equipment I use, and I will act responsibly to ensure my own safety and that of others.

I will wear all personal protective equipment deemed necessary for any specific item of equipment and will comply with all safety procedures relating to the use of that equipment.

I understand that Cannock Chase Shed is not responsible for giving medical assistance or organising carers or medical support beyond seeking help in an emergency or referring me to professional services if they deem me to be at risk. 

                                                     Limitation of liability

Subject to the fullest extent permitted by law, Cannock Chase Shed and its Trustees do not accept responsibility or liability for any claims resulting from direct or indirect loss, damage or injury arising from, or in connection with, my participation in the Shed’s activities.
