The Byron Sportsmen & Conservation Club will be hosting Saturday May 20th, 2023 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. This course is FREE OF CHARGE.
The bleeding control course is aimed at providing a 60-minute course that involves a didactic and hands-on training on management of bleeding. It has been developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and helps educate everyone in the community on how to control bleeding. Students of the course are trained on how to control bleeding through use of direct pressure, tourniquet application, and hemostatic dressing application.
Once you have passed the course, you will then be certified to teach others within their communities.
We will include the tourniquets, dressings, and manikins for training. A PowerPoint would be included and paper materials for reference will also be provided.
There is no charge to the students for this course. For more information regarding the importance and purpose of the course, please visit:
