The Arts and Healthcare in East London

Queen Mary University of London, in collaboration with Creative Wick, are currently undertaking research to better understand the role of arts organisations within the social prescribing sector. You may be very familiar with ‘social prescribing’. You may have never heard of it. You might be doing it without knowing it. That’s all part of what we’re investigating. Through this survey we aim to gather important insights about the role of social prescribing in East London, and the social impact of arts organisations.

The data from this survey will be stored in the principal investigator’s Google Drive for a maximum of one week. They will be then transferred to QMUL’s OneDrive where they will be kept for a period of 5 years. The data that you share will be kept confidential throughout the entire study.

Should you wish to delegate the survey response to another individual in your organisation, simply forward the link of the Google Form to that person.

The survey is anonymous. There is an option at the end of the form to leave your contact details to arrange a follow-up interview or to participate in our networking event. Your contact details will be uncoupled from the survey responses. They will only be used by the research team for the purpose of contacting you for the interview and/ or networking event and not shared with any third parties. They will be deleted once the interview and/ or networking event have taken place. You can request the removal of your contact details by the research team’s records at any point, by contacting us at the email below.

As the survey is anonymous, you will not be able to withdraw your answers after you press the submit button at the end, as the researchers will not be able to identify your responses. You can withdraw at any point before submitting the form, as in this case none of your answers will be saved or reach the research team.

We would be grateful for your response before the closing date of 23:59 28th February 2023.

We will be hosting a networking event for those in Hackney and Tower Hamlets interested in meeting other arts organisations working in socially engaged practice in East London. We will also endeavour to create links with local social prescribers. The networking meeting will be on 7th December at Queen Mary University of London's campus in Mile End. If you are interested in hearing more, with no obligation to attend, please leave your contact details at the end of the survey, or see our Eventbrite page here: https://bit.ly/3RVNEH1
