Jackie's ARC / Street Team Application
Hey there!
I'm an indie author who writes spicy romance. I currently have two series, with a third series coming in the second half of 2024.
  • My first series is a steamy romcom 5-book completed series following the sarcastic and feisty Amos siblings (starts with Love & Other Chaos, my debut novel.). 
  • My second series is a spin-off called Redleg Security. It's a 7-book bodyguard romantic suspense series with extra spice and some romcom vibes (starts with Heartbreak Hero). These books feature former military heroes and some have a slight BDSM flair. This series will wrap up publication in the first half of 2024. 
  • Looking ahead - I have a Redleg Security second generation series in the works, and I'm also contemplating another romcom series. 
  • I also have audiobooks with top narrators in production. Heartbreak Hero is live now (narrated by Troy Duran and Savannah Peachwood). Forbidden Hero is going live in Feb. 2024 (narrated by Robert Hatchet and CJ Bloom). The rest of the Redleg Security series audiobooks will be released over the course of 2024.

This is a request form to join my "Street Team" and/or "ARC Team" on an ongoing basis (not to sign up for just one "release event" or "blitz").  The differences in the teams are explained below. 

Signing up does not guarantee you'll be added to the ARC team, but I'll do my best to add everyone I can.

  • ARC Team = Advance Reader Copy (ARC) Team members will receive e-books of my future releases ahead of the regular release date & are asked to post honest reviews. I can't add everyone, so this is an application process. 
  • Street Team = Street Team members will receive graphics, teasers, cover reveals, release info from the author & are asked to share on social media when they are able. Everyone who applies is approved!
  • Both Teams = Feel free to join both teams if you choose!

Why do I need this? 
I have a FB group for my Street Team and a separate group for my ARC Team. We'll need to add you. My PA (Debbie Talavera) will likely friend request you to start the process (or at least, message you).

If you have read one of Jackie's books, please copy and paste a link to a recent review. If not, please paste over a recent review you've written for a different author. 
About the ARC Team:
  • Format: ARCs are sent in e-book format via Book Funnel. They are watermarked for my protection (that means, if they show up on a piracy site, I'll know which user did it). E-books through Book Funnel can be read on most devices, sent to the Kindle App, sent to iBooks, and/or read in the Book Funnel App or the web version of their site.
  • When: I will let you know via my FB ARC team group when ARCs are expected to be delivered and send a courtesy email so you can make sure that it was received. My goal is to get ARCs out at least 2 weeks ahead of the release date. At times, that might be shortened if life happens or my editing/proofing team has delays out of my control, but I won't ever give you less than a week to read before release. And I will keep the team updated via the FB group and/or email/chat. 
  • What if I don't post a review? My ARC team currently has a two-strikes and you're out rule. If you get an ARC and don't post your review in a timely manner = that's a strike.  If you get a second strike, you're permanently off the team to make room for other readers who will post a timely review. 
  • Why? Reviews are the life blood for indie authors and truly can make the difference between a best seller and a flop. The closer to release they are posted, the better they help the book's rank in the amazon store, which in turn shows the books to more readers in search results.  In exchange for getting the gift of a free book before release (an author's book baby that they've nurtured and watered to make it grow lol)... you agree to post an honest review on time. That's the deal. Of course, life happens. Many authors have a one strike rule, but I'm trying to lead with grace and understanding. I'm flexible if you're open and honest with me.💖🫱🏼‍🫲🏼
NOTE: A few weeks prior to each release, I share the blurb, trigger warnings, and expected dates ARCs will be sent along with review timing expectations. If you are unable to read a book for any reason prior to receiving an ARC, you can opt out of that release and still stay on the team for future releases. Opting out prior to getting an ARC does not count as a strike. Just let us know!

Non Disclosure Agreement
By joining the ARC team, you are acknowledging that the e-books provided by Author Jackie Walker are copyrighted materials protected by federal copyright laws. Further, by accepting an advanced copy, you agree that you will not distribute, copy, or share your copy with any person or entity without prior written consent from Jackie Walker. If you violate this agreement, Jackie Walker reserves all legal rights available, including pursuing a lawsuit for breach of contract, which may claim damages including, but not limited to, lost profits caused by the violative distribution. Additionally, by accepting an advanced copy you agree that your review will not contain spoilers. Should Jackie Walker or their representative determine that your review contains spoilers and contacts you to remove the offending language, you agree that you will do so as soon as is reasonably possible.

About my Street Team:
If you join Jackie's Street Team (aka: The Street Walkers), my PA (Debbie Talavera) will reach out to you and get you added to the Street Team FB Group and the FB "File Share" chat (which is not that busy; it's just used for sharing some files that don't share easily on the FB group due to Facebook being weird). She will likely send you a FB Friend Request to get this process started.

If you don't have FB, we have a back-up method of contact (an IG Chat). Deb will have to add you there instead. I'd also request that you follow me on Instagram (AuthorJackieWalker is my handle) and you can see what I share there, and repost it. 

My assistants and I post about 2 times a week to the Street Walker's FB Group and periodically share files in the chat, asking you to share on social media. We provide the graphics, captions, and hashtags. You post!

If you get a viral post, you'll get a gift card bonus! (viral is defined in the FB group - featured posts section)

I have a monthly Amazon Gift Card Raffle. To enter, all you need to do is post during the month a minimum of 5 times and share the screenshots of your posts with us (it's explained in the FB group - featured post section).

Around the time of each release, I usually have a large raffle for signed books, swag, and gift cards. Details are posted ahead of each release in the FB group and chat.

There is never an obligation to share, but I sure do appreciate my street team and that's why I'm so generous with the raffle incentives.
