Help the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge restore critical wildlife habitat that was destroyed by wildfire by planting seedlings on Saturday, November 2, 2019, noon to 3 pm with the Friends of Deer Flat and Rotary District 5400.

Meet at Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, 13751 Upper Embankment Road, Nampa, ID 83686, for introductions and snacks. Please bring a shovel, gloves, and water bottle for each member of your group. Planting will involve hiking, digging, kneeling, and bending over to plant. Planting will be by hand & shovel. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather! Layer your clothing, wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots, and bring a hat. There is a restroom at Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Center, our initial meeting location.
Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge requires that parents/guardians complete the following permissions before minors can volunteer. Although we will have copies available at the check-in tables, please consider printing and completing before arriving.
