“Chitactac Virtual” is a virtual school program aligned with the California Content and Next Generation Science Standards. Students will discover traditions of the native people who resided along the Uvas Creek for thousands of years. Students will explore photos, replica tools and a video as evidence of habitation during their 45 minutes to 1-hour virtual field trip. The program will explain how the native people lived and respectfully managed the land, and its importance to the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band’s life today.
Tips:
*** If you want to schedule more than one class, you MUST complete a separate request form for each class.
-The virtual program is scheduled only on Tuesdays during the week.
- Park staff will email a booking confirmation letter once your field trip is approved.
- If none of your preferred dates are available, we will contact you to discuss alternatives.
- We can accommodate one class (up to 35 students per scheduled date) unless the school has enough wifi bandwidth to accommodate a larger group.
