Sparties Running Program is an established running program for children on the autism spectrum in the Greater Cleveland area. The ultimate goal of the Sparties Running Team is to connect Case Western's student athletes (and any friends!) with local autistic spectrum students to encourage a passion for exercise, specifically, running. Our program will strive to increase the self confidence and skill levels of its runners by providing a positive, supportive environment. Additionally, we hope to create valuable connections and a welcoming community space for the parents of our runners. Each runner will work with 1 or more coaches (CWRU athletes) to ensure participation and connections.
 
The program will be free of cost to all families. The aim is to have each athlete, with the permission of his or her guardian and coach, participate in one fun run (1-2 miles) per semester.

The program will take place at the Veale Athletic Center at Case Western Reserve University, 2138 Adelbert Road, Cleveland, OH, 44106. There is a parking garage right next to the athletic center, and once you are in, you follow the path into the front entrance at Veale (we will be outside to show you) and you will have to sign in at the entrance.

Once you have signed the form, assume that your child is enrolled into the program. This means you will be receiving emails about practices and your child is expected to attend each or most of them. If we have a large amount of participants, we will let you know if your child is on a waitlist.
