Each Saint Joseph Parish child must attend one session of Religious Education per academic year when entering grades 1-8. Saint Joseph provides families with two options, one during the summer as a two-week intensive
or during the fall on Sunday evenings.
This form is for Summer 2024 Class Registration ONLY.
(Fall registration will begin in July 2024)
Summer Religious Education will run June 10-21, Monday through Friday, from 9a-12p in the West Campus school building (next to the church).
PLEASE COMPLETE ONE SUBMISSION PER CHILD. YOU WILL BE PROMPTED TO SUBMIT ADDITIONAL ENTRIES FOR MULTIPLE CHILDREN IN THE PROGRAM AFTER COMPLETING THE FORM.
Before completing the form, do ensure all contact information is correct (e-mail will be the primary mode of communication).
PAYMENT: Payment may be made by following the prompts after completing the form, or you may click here if redirected. The fee for religious education is $100, which covers the cost of the textbooks, classroom supplies, and catechetical support.
NOTE on Kindergarten: We desire to offer a Kindergarten class for the first time this summer. You will be notified a month in advance of any changes to this plan; securing the appropriate help, in addition to the catechist, will be driven by our parishioners' interest in this offering. Like any pilot program, we will discern a way to proceed based on all the information we have at the time.
NOTE on Sacraments: There is additional programming for families and children during typical sacramental years, Grades 8 (Confirmation) and 2 (First Communion). There will be "Kick-Off" events to overview what this entails for each sacrament in August and September 2024, respectively. Also, there will be an additional registration to "elect" this formation process for your child(ren), and a fee, for all parishioners seeking sacramental preparation, which begins in July 2024.
Absences during any of the sessions will likely require make-up meetings with the catechist or the Director of Youth Formation. If there are any questions, or you are seeking financial assistance, please call the Office of Youth Formation at 419-885-2181.
