Course Descriptions
*Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther (Scripture Press)
  Facilitator: Jim Fleager
This topic will run through Winter I & II

These three short books offer an abundant reward to all who turn to them. They are filled with exciting stories, intriguing characters, and rich spiritual insights. Ezra and Nehemiah narrate events in Jerusalem after a remnant of Judah returned from Babylonian captivity. Esther records some significant things that happened in the community of Jews just prior to their return from captivity. As queen of Persia, Esther was used by God to prevent the genocide of His people.

Have you ever wondered if God hears your prayers or even cares?  In this study we are going to look at twelve typical attitudes or habits of Christians, that keep prayers from being answered or even heard. We will learn how to restore our vision of God, and offer some advice on keeping our prayer lines open to God.

*The Case for Christ (Right Now Media): Lee Strobel
  Facilitator: Frank Schock
This topic will run through Winter II only

Is there credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God?  During this six-week session, Lee Strobel, a former legal journalist and one-time atheist, investigates the truth about Jesus Christ. Strobel leads us on a journey to discover the facts that helped guide him from atheism to faith in Christ. Here's an opportunity for you to dig in, reject easy answers and sift through the fascinating historical evidence as you weigh compelling expert testimony about Jesus and Christianity.
