The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, reformist and fast-growing international movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, the Community spans 213 countries with tens of millions of members. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, established in 1920, is among the first American-Muslim organizations.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long-awaited messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) of Qadian, India. Ahmad claimed to be the metaphorical second coming of Jesus of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Community believes that God sent Ahmad, like Jesus, to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and reinstitute morality, justice, and peace. Ahmad’s advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival and moderation. He divested Muslims of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam’s true and essential teachings.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Auxiliary

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Auxiliary, also known as Lajna Ima’illah, is the women’s organization of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It was established in 1922 by the second successor to the Promised Messiah (peace be on him) His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (may Allah be pleased with him) as an empowered women’s organization whose main goal was to promote religious and secular education amongst women and to support those lacking in these areas and help them in the spirit of sisterhood.

The Dallas Chapter of AMWA has served the local community by volunteering time and giving donations to the North Texas Food Bank, Alzheimers’s Center, TMWF (Texas Muslim Women's Foundation), Syrian Refugees, Hope City Dream Center, Genesis Women’s Shelter, and Allen Community Outreach. We also routinely donate groceries and household items to the refugee’s at ICNA food pantry in Dallas. These are just some of our activities serving humanity within our community!
