The Paola Farmers Market for the 2022 season is Saturdays, June 18 through September 24, except for July 2 (Independence Day) and August 27 (Paola Roots Festival).

The Market runs 6 PM to 9 PM, with Music on the Square performances starting at 7:30 PM.

We are looking for: Produce, herbs, meats, eggs, baked goods, jams/jellies/preserves, and other foods raised on Kansas soil. Hand-made, locally-sourced products for the home. Sale pieces from local fine artists (paintings, sculpture, wood/stone/metal work, and other artwork).

The vendor registration fee for the season is $50. Registration is not guaranteed until funds for payment are received. Discover Historic Paola provides $50 grants to cover the registration fee to community service organizations upon request. We also allow a one-time vendor registration for $10/day, subject to approval. *

Paola Farmers Market Rules & Terms
• The vendor is expected to treat all other Vendors with mutual respect.

• Market operations are managed by the Discover Historic Paola (DHP) Association. The vendor is expected to afford a reasonable respect of command to the managing DHP Official during market hours.

• The vendor shall abide by the decisions and instructions of the managing DHP Official during the market; in the event of an incident, further resolution of dispute between a vendor and DHP shall occur after market hours.

• The vendor shall live within a 50-mile radius of Paola’s Park Square.

• The predominance of goods the vendor offers shall be produced by the vendor, household, or farm.

• The market accepts Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) payments through a centralized point of sale (POS) operated by DHP. All vendors are expected to accept SNAP payments for any eligible food products they sell. DHP supports accepting credit card payments through the POS on behalf of vendors that are not set up to do so on their own. Payment distribution to vendors from the centralized POS will be made immediately at the close of each market for electronic disbursement, or on the next business day for paper check disbursements.

• DHP provides internet promotions and other web resources to the vendor as value added to the operation of the weekly market. These services are supplemental and not guaranteed.

• The vendor shall read and abide by the Kansas State Farmers Market Regulations and Best Practices: https://bookstore.ksre.ksu.edu/pubs/MF3138.pdf

• The vendor is encouraged to sell by unit or a labeled price. Scales are required to be certified for trade by the Kansas Division of Weights and Measurements if they are to be used for sale pricing.

• The vendor agrees that, while participating with the Market, the Discover Historic Paola Association or its officers, members, or agents and the City of Paola or its officers, employees, or agents shall not be held responsible or liable for any personal property damage, loss, or physical injury of any kind that the vendor or its associates may incur while operating at the market.

• Any exceptions to these Rules & Terms is at the sole discretion of the DHP Official at the market; dispute over any such exception shall be resolved after market hours.
