4K/OLED screen on VIA 15 Pro
This survey is trying to gauge interest in an optional upgrade of a 4K/OLED Glare-Type screen for VIA 15 Pro with AMD Ryzen 4000H series.

For the laptop itself (currently only available with FHD 60Hz 100% sRGB), please see our announcement thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/XMG_gg/comments/hjxm80/launch_schenker_via_15_pro_with_ryzen_7_4800h/

The standard panel of VIA 15 Pro is FHD IPS 60Hz 100% sRGB
The standard panel is going to be one of these two panels:
- Innolux N156HCE-EN1 Rev.C1
- BOE NV156FHM-N67
This might depend on the batch and shipment. Previous VIA 15 (with Ryzen 5 3500U) was 100% with Innolux N156HCE-EN1 Rev.C1, including review samples.
Let's assume this LCD Panel option: 15.6" Ultra HD OLED | glare | 100% sRGB/DCI-P3
This would be the panel Samsung ATNA56WR06 which has already been reviewed in various other brands, including Razer Blade and Gigabyte Aero.

Spec of this panel:
- 4K Resolution
- 60Hz Refresh Rate
- 0.23ms Response Time (Black/White)
- up to 600nits brightness
- Fully saturated black levels, unlimited contrast
- 85° viewing angles
- HDR10, Gamma 2.2
- 100% sRGB, 99.7% DCI-P3, 95.2% AdobeRGB
- No Backlight Bleeding

Some of these numbers come from Samsung's spec sheet, some from our own measurements.

Please note that this is a Glare-type panel, so it will have some reflections. There won't be any additional glass frame in front of the panel (because there are no plans for a Touchscreen). The chassis (size, thickness) of the laptop does not change with this panel on VIA 15 Pro. Please note that battery life will suffer with 4K panel, especially at high brightness levels. We can't put a number on this yet, but let's assume a 10% loss of battery life, maybe more.

Please note that there has been some controversy around PWM LED brightness control around such an OLED panel. The PWM frequency is at 60Hz by design, although the amplitudes between peaks and pits are very small so it shouldn't be a very big deal in real-life.
Let's assume a price uptick of 215€ (incl. 16% VAT)
This is not negotiable.
Let's assume there are no plans for other display panel alternatives in this generation.
No 4K IPS, no WQHD, no 1440p, no 16:10. The choice is only between FHD IPS and UHD/4K OLED.
Let's assume no plans for a Touchscreen version.
Touchscreen is too heavy and increases z-height and chassis so much that it would inflate tooling costs, making such an option not viable for the VIA 15 Pro. It would probably also lead to the laptop to tip over to the back, because the front is so light and the touchscreen glass is by definition moderately more heavy. In-cell and on-cell touchscreen is not available in sufficient good optical grade either.
