Pierceton PL is the 129th public library system to join the Evergreen Indiana Library Consortium. We need the help of as many qualified certified and copy catalogers as are willing and able to help catalog in their materials collection. Their circulating collection is roughly 40,000 items and roughly 25,000 of those items will need to be in the Evergreen Indiana catalog before the public launch of their library.
Individuals who are interested in participating in one or more of the scheduling cataloging parties to assist Pierceton PL should fill out this form. Please note that individuals must be employed at an Evergreen Indiana member library (or retired from one) with current training requirements for Cat2 and/or Cat1 permissions fulfilled. It is highly recommended that individuals also bring their own laptops and handheld barcode scanners. We may be able to provide one or two computers and/or scanner but there are no guarantees.
Each cataloging party day has been split into two sections to provide additional flexibility if you can only commit to part of a day. It's been awhile since we've had a cataloging party, and several of you have expressed enthusiasm. These are fun days of collaboration, and we look forward to you joining us.
